Does anyone have any recommendation on someone to provide SBR engraving in the NOLA area? I should have a stamp back soon, and I want to be prepared. Particularly looking for someone to laser engrave. Thanks.

PM request dust off. Mike Clark @ westbank engraving. He helps alot of people here, and is an awesome guy to visit with while he knocks out the engraving.

Be sure that the height and depth of the engraved letters are NFA compliant. I don't know anything about laser engraving, but that's something to be cognizant of.

    For firearms
    manufactured, imported, or made
on and after January 30, 2002,
    the engraving, casting, or stamping
    (impressing) of the serial
number must be to a minimum
depth of .003 inch and in a print
size no smaller than 1/16 inch

I know it's not in the "immediate" area but a drive down to BR and Tsumara Designs is well worth it!

Mike does do laser engraving (he did some stock work for me a few years back), but laser engraving may not be the best application for a coated lower. Give him a call and ask questions. Mike knows his stuff.
