I was out there with a couple of my friends earlier today. The only thing I don't like about this time of year is there are too many hunters at Sherburne. Of course, my constant gripe is that they want to go and check their shots at the 100 yard line after every dang shot because they were too cheap to purchase a spotting scope to go with their $5,000 hunting rifle.
Well, if they wouldn't try to call range cold every other minute, I wouldn't have a problem with them. Plus, they had one out there who was a wannabe range master that kept ticking me off.
ETA: The look on the wannabe range masters face was priceless when he said that Cecil was going to fuss at me. I told him that Cecil retired in February and moved out of state to be with his family.
ETA2: I just made up my mind, that if I can't beat them, I am going to join them. My very next purchase will be a Remington 700P in .308 and I will do just like the hunters, well except for the fact that I own a spotting scope... Heck, I may even start hunting again too.
