Shipping a firearm/firearm parts

I tried searching for an answer on this but didn't find an answer. If I ship my M&P 9mm frame only, within state lines, to a licensed gunsmith or licensed ffl, does my return shipment need to go through a ffl?

No. If you ship it to a FFL, manufacturer, or gunsmith they can ship back to you.

Also FWIW it wouldn't make a difference if it was the complete gun or just the frame since the frame IS (considered) the gun.
