Does anyone know of any land anywhere in Louisiana that is open to the public that can be used as a place to recreationally shoot your firearms? Obviously outside of city limits. Looking for anywhere in Louisiana willing to travel, so that I don't have to sit at a flat range. If you know that would be a big help if you could give me a list, also if that are any specific rules should be aware of.

(senior citizen) and young (12& 15) grandsons---mostly .22s & 9mm NO deer rifles

I shoot at hunter’s supply when I visit my mom n law in lake Charles. Pistols only. No magnum calibers I believe.

Well, this place- https://www.longrangealleygunclub.com/ , like 15 mins S of Shreveport is a nice place with multiple areas for different weapon types. But it's a membership range. There are woods all over where you can go shoot, but if you aren't familiar with the areas, you might end up near someones residence or on someones land. I'm sure you could find secluded spots around Toledo Bend to shoot. Same along the Red River.
