Shooting range near Hammond??

Hey everyone. I am new to this forum. Would anyone know where I could locate a shooting range near Hammond? I have several rifles and pistols that I have purchased and never even fired yet. I need at least 100 yards but I will be happy with anything. Thank you for any help you all can offer!

You can shoot at the Sheriff's office range in Amite on 2nd and 3rd Sat for free 10 am to 2 pm . mapvvv

It would be a drive, but there is Honey Island in Pearl River. Open Fri, Sat, Sun.
100yd rifle and 25yrd pistol, with steel on each.

I love Honey Island and drive from Denham Springs too, well worth the trip. Just make sure you have some Dort of hunting/fishing licsense on you when you go (WMA rule).

Welcome aboard, hope to see you at the range. There is also the Skeet Club in Amite, my info on it is kinda sketchy, off Chicken Farm Rd. Hosts some cowboy Action and not sure what else besides skeet and trap.

I am also in the hammond area, welcome. I am a member of the amite sheriff's range, but I usually always go to honey island to shoot, very nice range, well worth the trip.

they have clays, 100yd rifle, pistol, guided quail

wasn't cheap to shoot rifle there, though, IIRC the few times that i went they charged hourly.

It's still there. $10/hour. Pistol and rifle ranges are well run. It gets a little messy after heavy rains, but then what outdoor range doesn't? I always enjoy my visits.

I have never been there personaly, but I remember someone saying that Tallow Creek had some restrictions about rifle ammo? Like no FMJ. ???

Go to wal mart and ask for the wild Louisiana stamp. It's 5 bucks and allows use of the wma. It doesn't require hunters Ed
