So I was walking out of the range. I was carrying a 1911, the 1911 box, 2 boxes of ammo, and my glock box. Needless to say my arms were full. I went to put it all on the counter to sign out when a few rounds of ammo dropped out the box. One fell primer first on a hexagon bolt which set it off. The round hit me in the leg (I was wearing jeans). Felt like I was hit by a stick. Needless to say we were all in shock, and have a good laugh out of it.

Neither me. But this isn't an AD, or ND.

And it happens more frequently than most folks would believe. Shotshells are particularly susceptible to this, as their primers are quite a bit "softer" than regular metallic ammunition primers; more surface area to get struck, too.

I've seen it happen three times. Sure gets folks' attention, don't it... ;)

    .

I literally felt there was at least 4 people ready to take me out.

I shot at the Bass Pro with My brother since he is in Hamond area and got 10 hours free range with a gun buy. Nice place with lots of air moving as i shot lots of lead 45Colt and 45acp loads there.
As a young kid i was shot at an indoor range in Kenner on 61{airline} The old Kenner indoor range Remy owned
He left some idiot shot a BP pistol inside who shot the side wall to see what it would do. Well what it did was hit me in the leg, instant burning pain after. Looked like it split the ball. Bad bad flesh wound, Cleaning it was bad that was the real pain, stitches and keep it clean.
Who shoots a BP gun inside? He had also hit the metal carrier before that.
