Anyone in or near Lafayette have the capability to reload shotgun shells? 12gauge BTW.

I have a mess of empty shells and was wondering if it might save a bit of money over purchasing new...

With lead shot prices as high as they are, my presses are collecting dust right now. What type of hulls do you have? Some economy hulls are not worth messing with, as they don't crimp well. Also, shotshell recipes need to be followed exactly, as pressures can change drastically just from changing only the hull.

Once-fired 12 or 20 ga. hulls are going for about 4-6 cents ea. The Winchester AAs, Remington STS, and Federal Gold Metals are the most popular.
If you have 28 or .410 hulls, they go for 12-15 cents ea.

I was looking to pay someone to reload for me if was a good cut in price. I might consider my own reloader if someone was nice enough to get me started...I've never reloaded and would not know where to start. I learn very quickly though.
