    New Orleans, Lafayette, and SC
At the moment I am living in South Carolina, and I have technically been a resident here for the last few years. I am moving back to New Orleans though in the next year. I have been wanting to get my CCP for a while now.By the time I actually get it though, I will only have it for a few months before moving back to New Orleans. I might not change my residency right away, but it is my understanding that once I do change my residency I have to wait 6 months before I can go for another CCP for Louisiana. So what is the better choice?

Take the class now, be able to carry for a few months, then do it all over again once I become a resident of LA. Or should I just wait until I move back to LA before getting my CCP?

    Wait.

In the past I would have said get a non res permit that both LA and SC honor but the gubment screwed honest people out of that option. Hopefully we will get our own non res to clean up some of the bullsheet.
