The last time they made a production run of the L models, it was only as a "special run" a year or three ago of the 17L and 24L. I guess Glock always could choose to do so again at the point where it felt there was enough pent up demand to make it worthwhile.

I personally fill that the niche for the L models is better filled now by the practical-tactical oriented G34 and 35...and Glock seems to feel the same at this point.

I bought a NIB 17L made in 2008. Glock makes a few to meet demand about once a year. La. Gun had a NIB G17L recently. I traded my last one for a NIB G19.

The 17L and the 24 [no such beast as a 24L] are the same size. The 17L is 9mm and the 24 is .40S&W. The 17L is an anomaly in the Glock naming/numbering protocol. Initially, the Glock 17 was so-named because it was Gaston's 17th patent, then the 18 and 19.

    They are neat guns, though.
