Im wondering about ammo for this thing, whats a good price to pay these days for good clean non junk ammo, im trying to decide on reloading, but i figure reloading will cost me about 40 cents per round for good stuff.

I bought 200rnds of Rem Ammo for 99 bucks, is that about the going rate?

    Take a look at:
    http://www.wideners.com/index.cfm

They have PriviPartizan 55 grain BTFMJ 5.56 currently going for $73.00/200 plus shipping. (If you order 1000, they knock off a buck per 200. Makes it $72.00/200. Not a lot, but every little bit helps.)

The M855 (62 grain) is just a little higher at $82.00/200.

I just received my second shipment of 1000 of the M193 (5 packs of 200) and with shipping it was $378.83 total.

The Privi is loaded to true military specs, and folks swear by it.

If you order from them, be prepared for a two to three week delivery time. But it's better than it was. Used to be a five to six week delivery.

They're finally catching up with their orders.

Prvi M193 and M855 is good stuff! The M855 is a little overkill for plinking and personal protection, unless you plan on shooting through car doors or something.

Specs on the AR? M193 is what you want, either PPU, Federal, or Win Q3131. I wouldnt buy any of the remington, unless it is substantially cheaper than any of the prior 3 mentioned, and at $99/200 that is RAPE.

If youre target shooting, look for the Federal 200 round value packs at walmart. The 50 Gr HP's are supposedly really accurate, and you get LC brass to reload with to boot. Last I saw they were $78 per 200 rounds.
