Good lights, but just a bit too pricy in my opinion. I see Surefire and Streamlight as pretty much on the exact same level, except for the price.

I disagree. If you ever get the opportunity to compare a Streamlight product to a similar Surefire product, you would see the difference.

Don't look past 4Sevens brand as well. All listed above seem to be quality choices to fit your limited requirements.

I personally stay with widely available batteries (AA and AAA). Though, I've been seriously eyeing a Quark Mini 123 lately (1 CR123 at 34 bucks). I currently own three 4Sevens model flashlights. A 2AA Non tactical, a 1 AA, and a 1 AAA Preon. Been nothing but impressed so far, many drops etc. Didn't have much luck with the two Fenix lights I owned, so I moved on. I live out in the woods and there's little to no ambient light - no streetlights and what-not.

Have carried an E1B for 2 years now. Never leave home without it.

I'll take the added expense for Surefire quality.

Oh man, why'd you show me that. LOL.

I've thought about going with the EB1. I believe it's 200 lumens, over the E1B with 110. Think it might be a bit bigger, so I may end up sticking with the E1B. It's never let me down, and it's been through hell.

You ever think about upgrading you Mag. I upgraded 3 of mine that I had with LED heads. One is super freaking bright, the other two are like my streamlight super tac.

The big one I also bought a conversion to run it off AA batteries, works pretty good.

Got all the stuff from terra lux.

That being said, I do like my Olight M21, Streamlight Supertac, and Surefire lights. I just couldnt see throwing the maglights in the trash.
