I have a Romanian SAR-1 AK-47 I am looking to sell
Comes with 4-30 Round Mags & 1-10 Round Mag
140 Rounds of Ammo
Sling
Cleaning kit that stores in the stock

These guns (SAR-1) are no longer able to be imported in to the country and has been that way for awhile now.
This is not the WASR-10 which was made to accept a 10 round single stack mag. The WASR-10 is imported into the country and later modified to accept the double stack mag. The SAR-1 has a ture high cap. double stack mag receiver.

I have one exactly like this. I love the thing. It has never failed me no matter what kinda trash I fire through it. I have bump fired it on a few occasions and she eats like a 500 pound hog.

What is the date of manufacture? It should be on the side of the receiver, sometime between 1999-2004.

I would have to wait until I get home from work.... I work out of town wont be home until the 25th but I can tell you its between 1999-2000....

Supposedly the later years are better than the earlier years.

But SAR's are nice any year.

2001-2004 were the "better" years but having an earlier one doesn't necessarily mean it was inferior. Just a greater probability of a good one in the later years.

You should take some pictures under better light. The SAR series had nice wood furniture and that isn't showing up in that pic. And put a steel mag in for the pictures.

What kind of brake is on it? Is it threaded, pressed or pinned?

Its a pined brake... I am at work out of town right now won't be able to get new pics until the 25th... But I can tell you this Gun is Very Nice only ran 3-30 round mags down the barrel. Very smooth action... Will get more Pics then if its not sold before then...
