I've got to make room in the safe so it's time for this guy to go. It's a Swiss Schmidt-Rubin K31 in 7.5 Swiss. It has probably the nicest trigger on any military surplus firearm you'll ever see. Like many of these rifles it has the troop tag underneath the buttplate listing the name and address of the Swiss reservist it was issued to. The bluing is 90% plus on this. The wood is is structurally fine with no major cracks; like many of these it's pretty heavily worn around the buttstock. Apparently this results from crampon-bearing boots kicking the rifle to free it from the ice during alpine drills. It has a single, serial matched, detachable magazine, a sling and a muzzle cap.
