I think the Italian ones have chrome lined barrels. Although the newer American ones might have this too.

From what I understand (and I could be wrong) The American and Italian ones both have always had chrome lined barrels, but the Italians have more prominent chrome lining on the crown. Again, just from what I understand

I have one and a few weeks ago,We went and shot Beretta's with the factory reps and we ask them the same question,We also ask them if there was any difference between the 92 and the m9, They said there was no difference between Italy and USA (AT ALL) made guns and no difference between the 92fs and the m9
