He will love that. My son went from his first gun being a Chimpmunk then he got a Rossi .22/.410 combo gun and this Christmas he is getting a H&R 20g/.243 combo.

I don't know much about those but their lever actions are nice so it probably is too. That looks like an outstanding present! he should be happy to get that.

I bought a well used Rossi .22/.410 from a coworker for him a while back. I hadn't giving it to him yet. For Christmas I wanted to get him something nice and new, that would make a good heirloom later on.
I'll probably give him the Rossi later as a .410 after he's mastered the .22 and has the strength to reliably open and cock the hammer of the Rossi.

I can't wait to take him out!
