im selling my dads old(he bought it new old stock in '78) springfield j. stevens mod 311. $150.obo
its 12ga, 2 3/4" chambered, barrels cut to 18.5" after too many high brass goose loads thru it in '85.
this has always been my dads "backup gun" for hunting trips. no matter what was being hunted or where, this gun came along.
its killed countless hogs, duck, grouse, coyote, rabbit, deer, goose, etc...,
it has also always been the primary home/camp/tent defense gun
mechanically its in great shape, the back trigger is light(gunsmith job).
cosmetically, its been around to every hunt you can think of... and it looks it. its on its 3rd set of furniture, light surface rust, light pitting, little finish left.
it patterns great with light shot to #4 buck. 00 buck patterns well under 20yds. slugs are fairly accurate as well.
comes with a slipon recoil pad, shell holder, and the #4 buck in the holder
