That does sound like a good day, and you could not ask for better weather. I'm hoping to go sling some lead tomorrow with some friends. Hope it doesn't fall thru. If it does, I'll go by my self. I have a new 45 that need some testing.

I cooked a big pot of jambalaya (40lb rice!) and served it to a few hundred high school JROTC cadets at the Pershing Rifles Invitational Drill Competition at LSU's parade grounds. Got a good sunburn and saw some promising young kids doing things. Now Im sitting at the house with an irish stout and a plate of corned beef and cabbage. Watching "Charlie Valentine." Good day!

worked from 9 til 2, shot with friends (tannerite, 600 yard steel silhouette, and plinking), got to meet and hang out with Peter Palma from top shot. pretty nice guy. Also drank my fair share of coors products and Jameson Irish whiskey. Listened to traditional Irish drinking tunes while all of this happened.

Dinner and a movie with two of my best friends. Act of Valor was amazing! It refreshes the sense of gratitude and respect for out military, active, retired, or otherwise.

Cut the grass, then went to lafayette to have a good time with some old fraternity brothers, had quite a few Irish Car Bombs. Got home after 5am, then woke up at 8 to take the family out to breakfast.

I built for my daughter a 10' tall swing set with three swings. I made it out of 4x4s. The thing is amazing. Next weekend I'm building a deck on it with a climbing wall and a slide. We have a lot next door to us that my wife and I bought a few years back, and we're gradually making it into a big playground for her and the kids next door.

Did my 12 hrs helping to make gasoline, came home, cut grass while I still had light, ate, showered, and went to sleep..... Pretty sad day considering how pretty the weather was and wishing I was doing something else. Glad some of ya'll had the opportunity to have some good beverages though!!!!
