Star Targets (explosives)

Anyone tried this? I was in Cabela's yesterday, and picked up a 1/2lb container out of curiosity. It looks like the same thing as tannerite. I didn't know it was sold in stores though.

$7 for one bang. Would be fun if I could afford A LOT of them to blow through, but one every now and then would probably be fun to scare an unsuspecting fellow shooter at the range.

My buddy bought a 1/2 lb one at cabela's the other day and hit it with his AR and he said the ground shook under his feet when it blew. You can make your own for 1/10th the price. I think the guy who worked for tannerite leaked the simple recipe on AR15.com just google it. You do need some food processors that will be ruined after a while too. The ingredients can be found at your local Co op.

I picked up a 1/2 lb of it a few weeks ago. After mixing it I split it up into 9 small ziplock baggies and twisted them tight. Still made for some nice booms when shot with the AR.
