I'll be moving back to my house in Louisiana in about 12 months if not sooner. I've maintained that address as my permanent residence and still do. Is it possible to start some of the paperwork for an SBR build and silencer purchase while I'm out?

I have a Louisiana LLC, but since I haven't operated the company in over a year I'm probably not going to renew it and would like to set up a living trust with my wife on it as well. Can this be done from out of town or is this something that a lawyer would have to witness me sign in person? Also correct me if I'm wrong, but if I register everything under my LLC now, and transfer it later to a trust I would have to pay the 200 for each item again so I would rather just go with the trust route now.

I would imagine it would be possible to start the paperwork as long as you have maintained it as your permanent residence. As far as setting up the trust you should be able to set it up out of town. You would probably need to go to a local Notary to have it signed and witnessed. And if you registered everything under your trust and later wanted to transfer it to a trust you would have to pay 200 for each item.
