So if I sell a rifle to Joe in Montana I can U.P.S. it straight to him? Provided he can legally own it.
    There, happy now? ;-)

If there is a Montanna, LA and you are in LA you can.

Federal law states that a person cannot ship a firearm to a non FFL person in another state but you CAN ship to another person in your own state.

Hmm, so you can ship a long gun directly to a person and doesn't have to go through FFL?

    Affirmative.

Back during the AWB years I spent many hours reading the laws.
IIRC, there is no Federal law prohibiting shipment from person to person within a state. That why I was asking about LA State laws.

"......shall not be infringed." and all.

BTW, you can also ship to yourself. And for hunting and such, you can ship to other states, IIRC.

    Cheers,
