Thursday night steak night; Gendusa's in Rivertown (Kenner). Hands down one of the best steaks around; ribeye, porterhouse, or filet w/ salad & potatoes.

Shut the front door! Gendusa's has steak night? I'm there. My wife and I love Gendusa's. Not steak related but I had a duck and blueberry thing that was the nightly special a couple weeks ago that was awesome.

received an email from Groupon this morning- $50 gift card for $25 to Desi Vega's steakhouse...

Desi Vega's Steakhouse has the best ribeye I've ever paid for, in a restaurant. Desi also took over Phil's Grill in Harahan and has some of the best burgers in town.

I don't know if they have a "steak night" but Austin's Restaurant and Steak house in Metairie has a pretty good steak. It's right off of West Esplanade Ave.

Not in Met/ Kenner, but Buddies bar and Grill in Hammond is tops for me in this area. They have an all you can eat filet tips special on Tuesdays -$10.99. Each time I have gone, the wait staff has been almost aggressive in refilling my steak tips, and they'll send home what you don't finish. Some all you can eat places won't do that. I usually skip any appetizer or side other than a salad and enjoy the tips. They may still have another special night that includes a 10oz ribeye for something like $10. There is another steak place in downtown Hammond and they don't hold a candle to Buddies. Regular menu is typically priced for good steaks, but the specials are awesome. Might be worth the drive from Kenner.
