I stayed in the Blue Bonnet Towers when I first went to LCI, and would walk to the Rowe on a semi regular basis. I never had any problems, but I was usually the only person on the sidewalk wearing pants that fit.
I remember a thread a while back where people were talking about how dangerous B.R. is/is not. Having grown up in a town with only a handful of redlights, B.R. is an intimidating place. It may not be as bad as some places, but an incident like this shows that even a nice part of the city is susceptible to crime. That girl is lucky they only wanted her money.
