I just want to double check to make sure it is still legal to mail long guns WITHIN Louisiana (not to FFL, from citizen to citizen). I know we can't mail hand guns. I know before we could mail long guns within Louisiana.

I just wanted to make sure nothing has changed in that regard? I know Obama has made some executive orders, and the ATF changes how it interprets old "laws" all the time, and we have a democrat governor so wanted to cover my @ss... lol

    Thanks for quick reply.

    Still legal.

Long guns can ship USPS, UPS, or FedEx.
Handguns must go common carrier (UPS or FedEx). As far as I know UPS and FedEx require you to ship 1 or 2 day air, not the law just their rules.

Independently owned UPS stores are not allows to ship firearms per their agreement with UPS. If using UPS you will have to carry to the hub or have pickup service.
