Alright...let's set the record straight here.

While NFL player DeAngelo Williams did an honorable deed
by giving up his first class seat to what he perceived as a Senior Enlisted Marine.

The fact is, I knew immediately upon seeing this slack-jawed walking bag of bones
that his uniform is as wrong as ketchup on pancakes.

I won't list all the obvious sins he's committing
but the number one BS Flag is the Marksmanship Qualification Badge
(and whatever that is hanging below it)

Shooting Badges are not authorized to wear on Dress Blue Alpha's.
...and a 30+ year Master Guns would dang well know that!!!

...ok just one more...Cover indoors? and on the plane? .... NEVER from a Master Guns.

    Congratulations sir....you just violated Pub.L. 113–12; H.R. 258. A Federal Law.

    .......

    Ok I can't help myself.

His belt is not trimmed...it's rolled up behind the buckle. Seriously?

With a Bronze Star w/ Combat V and Purple Heart
we should AT LEAST see on his right a
Combat Action Ribbon and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.

And what the heck is that
on his Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal?
    an M&M ?

    What a Master Guns in Dress Blue Alpha's should look like;

Note the #1 Rule I pointed out.
No Marksmanship Badges on Dress Blue Alpha's

Marines! .... Note their GIG lines as compared to the phony. ;)

I was never in the military, but even to me something looked fishy about his costume. The hat looks like it was sat on, and the rest of it just doesn't look right, slack-jawed I guess you could say.

I hope that's the case, but im not completely convinced.

On a side note, a take issue with the cousin saying that calling his military service into question is akin to calling a persons citizenship into question, even after they have been in this country and served it well. I wonder how he figures? Being in this country doesn't make someone a citizen.

Was it the dementia that caused him to forget that Marines do not wear covers indoors or was it the dementia that caused him to forget that shooting badges are not worn with medals. If his dementia has progressed that deep into his memory, why was he traveling alone with no supervising attention from his family? I guess they only care about him when he made the news!

not buying the dementia story. there are just too many sins to say "it was close".

If regs were spot on and cover was worn indoors- id say 'ehhhh ill buy it.' Phonies don't realize the detail and level of meticulous work that goes into uniform presentation, because they've never had a new one ripped for any one of the dozen sins this guys is committing.

    Military.com's Buddy Finder lists

James Bolden Marine Corps Retired Military E-9 TN ... (Article is from SHELBY COUNTY, TN)

Mil.com used to say if the record listed was pulled from the DOD but I don't see that anymore.

Wow, some people never grow up! Before the Marines, I did like to go around in public wearing my JROTC uniform after school.
I can see that those who did not sacrifice a damn thing to wear a uniform have no respect for it.
