    I don't know what standard velocity ammo you are referring to but CCI SV stays sub sonic out of my 16" and my 22" barrel bolt guns.



    I disagree. The Sparrow does have the FRP but unless you are trying to be a super ninja, what does it matter? What other things are you talking about when you say "among other things"? I think its one of the best .22 cans out for either rifle or pistol.

    No super ninja here but whats the point of spending all that money on a can that is not as quiet as it could be ? FRP is the result of blast chamber design/size. They obviously made some trade offs to get the can the size it is. Like I said, great pistol can. There are better choices for rifles

    How about a new barrel profile for the thread and o-ring engagement.
    Thread length is .435 great for a pistol but not so much for rifles which have a standard .600 to .635. So now you have your muzzle jammed against the o-ring and the can is just hanging on the threads.
    It does not have enough volume for a rifle. Does it work ? Sure, but so would a potato.
