Surefire X400 laser distortion

Anybody ever had the laser distort on a Surefire? I'm not sure what's gone wrong with mine, but at 50' it's not much better than a red flashlight. It's not dirty or anything, the folks at Precision worked over it for 5 minutes to no avail.

It worked fine for the first 190 rounds though. At 196 I detected a smear at 20', wiped the laser to make sure it wasn't dirty, and kept firing. By about 250 rounds the smear has gotten pretty big.

wow I was just about to buy 1, I would contact Surefire "for sure"

Let me know the outcome on the light and Tech Dept help to you please!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and/or I will check this thread again!

That is a complete f-ing bummer & I hope that they treat you good, if not they loose a sale on 1 x400!

First I'm gonna take it back to Bowie and see what they say, if they won't exchange it then I'm going to talk to Surefire.

I dont know whats wrong but surefire will most likely ship you a new one.
