The Judge said the bank wrongfully tried to foreclose on the Nyergers' house

I guess they didn't want any Nyergers in the neighbor hood

My Dad & Grandfather were "home-loan bankers", ran a S&L. They really hated to have to foreclose on anyone. They said that when that happened, they felt as though THEY had failed. More than once, they paid someone's payment out of their own pockets.

The notion that evil bankers relish giving folks trouble is just not true. Sorta like the "evil oil companies" setting out to destroy the environment.

Business people in general want for their customers to do better; "A rising tide floats all boats."

Agreed. Allot of foreclosures are happening these days and everybody is pissed at the banks. The banks would prefer that people just made their payments. But on the other hand lenders have been given out mortgages to people that were not deserving of them for years.
