Shot one of these the other day at the range and was quite impressed. Great accuracy and super feel for a small gun. Also was not overly fat for a gun that holds 10 rounds of .45 acp. Was virtually same size as the 6 round .45 glock Tuan had there. Any opinions, experience, input anything really???

Guy next to me had one in my 250 Gunsite class. POS.
He ended up borrowing my spair 1911 and buying his own 1911 before the class was over.

Seen others go down too frequently.

IMHO I will not trust Taurus (With some exceptions given to the Beretta 92 copy) with my life.

When Richie was shooting the Taurus he ran into a problem when 3 of his rounds didn't go off but the back of the shells was slightly impacted. I put the round in my Glock and it shot just fine. What is it doing? Is the firing pin bad or something?

Could be anything from gunk in the firing pin channel, weak FP spring, hard primers...

Nah never had any other problems in the next 30 rounds i shot through it. Not my personal 1st choice just saw it as decent. Was in the gun safe and i thought ehh why not and figured id seek out what yall thought about it. Personally the grip was rough as hell on my palm no matter how i held it. Now the Springfield 1911 officer i had there, thats a sweet gun. Could shoot that all day. At the range's max distance never having shot the gun Tuan had i think 2 head shots and couple body.

i know someone who has one, he seems to like it. gun runs just fine, had a small period of trouble right out of the box but after a 100rnds or so it runs just as well as any other similar gun.

saying taurus is "crap" or a "pos" is an unfair assumption. if you think you like it then try one out, basically it boils down to personal preference.

Richie's was the second Taurus that I've shot ever and I wasn't a fan. But to each their own. I just rather a gun I feel will always be reliable.

    Not really.

I don't know ANYONE that I consider a serious shooter that holds taurus in any regard, including merely "decent".

If they can't make it through a handgun class, I am not going to trust my life to them - and they are on the list of guns instructors specifically warn against.

The reason they warn against them is they see them break over, and over, and over...

i'm sorry, i didnt mean to go against your gospel.

do you own this gun? do you know anyone who has ever owned this gun? have you put rounds downrange with this gun? my guess would be no, but in the off chance that you can answer "yes" to any of the above questions then your opinion on this particular product might be a little more credible. noboby gives a **** about who you know, who you have trained with, or what kind of gun you own. a question was asked about a specific gun, not a gun that your dad bought or whatever sad story you had about a taurus you once shot back in the day. dude i've had a smith .357 lock up on me, seen a Springfield blow up after only a hand full of rounds, saw a glock litterly shoot itself to peices after ONE magazine, put 100's of rounds through a P3AT with not one single hick up. so come on man, enough with the preaching, lets try and be a little more objective.

If I saw someone with a Taurus and a single point sling, I would know they were a ******* moron and to avoid getting within 100 yards of them.

That, and I thought I told you to put me on ignore?

a ******* moron according to whom?

    I had a PT 145 Mill Pro.

The first time I went out and shot it, it had several failures to fire similar to the ones mentioned previously. I took the rounds out and the primer was dimpled. I saved all of the rounds that failed to fire (all failed to fire after multiple attempts by the way) and loaded them into my buddies kimber and proceeded to fire every one without a problem. It wasn't the rounds, it was the gun. Sold the gun and bought a Glock. Best decision ever.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
