I have one and a friend has one. IMO, they are a pretty good value. There are a lot of custom type features for the same money you'd normally pay for a base-model 1911. Have fun with it.

I have one of the regular blued ones. I love mine. It is accurate, reliable, and lots of fun. Lots of people hate on Taurus, and I can't comment on any other models, but I think the PT1911 is great for the money.

I absolutely love mine in stainless. I didn't really like the fact it has a lock on the hammer but no problems so far. If you plan on putting aftermarket grips on it you will have to modify them slightly unless it is stated they are for a pt1911. I purchased some from Raascogrips.com and they are very nice.

NOT a bad gun for the price cheapest 1911 in the market with a rail, and NOTHING wrong with an aluminum frame I own a SA LW Champion Operator (aluminum frame) and she has seen MANY rounds without a hickup.

CDNN had some .38Super on Clearance,

I would consider buying one at some point.

I have a blued model, no rail. 5k through it, without a hiccup. Breakage to the ambi safety is suppose to be an issue. Haven't experienced that. You'll hear people say to go with a Rock River for inexpensive 1911 or on the other end to stretch your budget and go with SA or STI and get your $'s worth. Frankly at $410 for mine and the fact it feeds anything I've loaded, it has been a great value. I had a guy offer his SS with rail for $500 and I turned it down. Having 2nd thoughts now.

I also have a blued Taurus 1911. Got it a year and a half ago and it still is one of my favorites. Great value for the money and works every time. Also have two PT 145 compacts from Taurus and they work equally well. Enjoy and be safe.

I have one and want another. The PT-145 Millenium Pro is the best carry gun out there, if only I could find a holster other than a Yaqui "belt slide" !
