Sad what happened, and obviously the left/media is going to paint gun owners as crazies/terrorist. But can't help but notice how the rear MBUS is raised (none of mine are like that, that I know of). Which makes me think it's possibly airsoft or replica rears, also he has a CMC trigger which is nice, why would he have a fake sight.

I noticed that. He's got the wonky sight, a budget red dot, and what appears to be a cheap laser designator. The trigger seemed out of place. But he was a fan of Magpul.

I didn't want to comment on the sight, b/c I know how sensitive some people are to "budget optics". But yea, he had a cheap dot, but at the same time, it did it's job....

Did they ever say what ultimately led to his demise? I just watched on the news, they didn't know whether he died from a shot from someone else or a self inflicted wound.

Its a Ruger machined aluminum fsb....Thats a factory Ruger ar556 with magpul furniture and other upgrades.

his wife and child endangerment.He must have been found guilty,hence

Court martial is to determine guilt or innocence. Doesn’t take a conviction of a crime to get dishonorably discharged.

Thank you. I wasn't trying to hijack the thread but I couldn't figure it out. It didn't look standard and the only non-standard one I can remember seeing had a set screw. But that one looks pinned.

Update: Looks like his ex wife lived there or use to live there.

There saying it maybe an act to hurt his ex wife's family and friends.
May have figured that is where everyone would be considering it was
a very small town,pop around 3-400 people.

He was court marshaled,found guilty,served 12 months for assault on
his wife and child.

Wow that’s the first I heard about the neighbor actually getting into a gunfight with this guy. That neighbor possibly saved dozens of more lives.
