Something I should point out though...I use the word "attic" loosely. It's an area of the attic that is completely unreachable to me. The access is outside between two roof pitches, and from there the coon has a large area all to himself where three roofs come together. It's an insulated part of the attic, it's just inaccessible for me. I don't see the coon until he's in the trap. Otherwise I'd be posting well-armed from the attic right now.

So I just go outside to check my trap and get excited as I round the corner when I notice the trap door is shut. But...there's no coon. And the food is untouched. I think he's resorted to psychological warfare tactics...

Bad news guys...got the call a few minutes ago. One ******* coon currently in custody.

Hopefully it's actually the one that was inside. He's just a little fella, I coulda sworn it sounded like a bear in the attic.
