The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge, Visit Baton Rouge and local artists partner for The Fine Art of Bowling.
As Baton Rouge hosts the United States Bowling Conference Open Championship Tournament, Visit Baton Rouge has teamed with The Arts Council and area artists to introduce bowlers visiting our city to the culture and traditions of Louisiana through the creative expressions of our artists.
The Fine Art of Bowling includes a raffle featuring dozens of artful bowling pins, crafted by Baton Rouge artists, that are on display in participating businesses all over town. More than 55 bowling pins have been decorated and placed at area hot spots expected to be visited by bowlers, including Circle Bowl, home of The Forty Frame Game, Metro Bowl, the bowling center for the Storm Bowlers Journal Championships presented by USBC, restaurants, shops and more. The pins capture the essence of Louisiana with depictions of the scenery, food and even Louisiana State University's mascot, Mike the Tiger.
Bowlers and non-bowlers alike can register to win one of these commemorative bowling pins celebrating the 2012 USBC Open Championship Tournament. The Official Drawing for winners will be held after the Tournament ends in July.
