You're absolutely right, however force recon is a different mos and I'm sure those guys wouldn't appreciate being called a 0321. Go ahead and Google the difference between force recon and recon man. You might learn something.

dont worry. 0321 dont have a problem with inferring they are 8654.
ive always been under the impression that 800 series was a secondary mos since they did away with force recon and combined some of the community back in 06ish if i remember correctly . i do know the difference between the two mainly some specialty schools and primary operating distance between the two. if im wrong then sorry for coming in half cocked.
or was it the other way around ? i cant seem to remember which they got rid of, was it recon bn or force recon ? oh well. still a good looking rifle

Was after my time. I got out in 93... it was recon battalion at that time. No force recon that I remember.
I think yall are missing the point. It doesnt matter what it is now, that was Haley's MOS when he was in.
I dont really care what its called now, because the names change all the time. I got out in 2010 and my mos doesnt exist anymore either. That doesnt mean Im going to claim to be some other MOS just because its different now.
