Where does it say the shotgun was in the glovebox? I just read the return on the search warrant and it said Saiga shotgun with two magazines containing 70 rounds of Winchester 12 gauge shotgun rounds.

The news report is wrong. According to the search warrant application, the shotgun was in plain view within the vehicle.

I have no doubt that is was wrong unless, like the OP said, the Civic Glovebox was HUGE! I think he was just referring to the crappy reporting that was being done.

It also said he had 3 30-round mags for the Bushmaster and there were over 150 .223 cases on the ground. I guess he had time to reload mags. So much for someone being able to stop him during a mag change or reloading. So, how would smaller mags make us safer?

Didn't know they made 35 round mags for the Saiga My 30 round drum is so heavy I don't think a civic could pull such a payload.

Me either. Apparently, Saigas are much more badass than I gave them credit for and therefore I must obtain one.
