Cool. There are a lot of folks I know who have done courageous things and end up in the gutter. It's something I've come to notice. Heroism in the face of Death isn't rewarded with a life of prosperity. Not that I ever thought it was, but before my Military Service I guess I had this thought that war hero's and military service members always end up successful in life. Just a young man’s thoughts I guess.

The other was an old white man, who had a speech impediment, and always seemed to be in a hurry. Turns out he was a survivor of the Battan death March.

There's a lot of history in the the country/world, and someone had to live it. Just because a person is old and plain looking doesn't mean they have always been so plain. Old people can be damned awesome and interesting, but most people don't have the patience to listen to them.
