Actually held a Taurus 1911 yesterday. Not very impressed. Had some nice checkering and all, but the grip safety sucks on it. Its very hard to depress naturally with your grip.

Well since you guys are talking about me

    (1) When I shot that Taurus PT140 Millennium G2 40 S&W for the first time it was right out of the box brand new.
I had read on other forums that the 9mm version Taurus PT11 always seemed to shot low left. So the way I aim at the target was high right
The first 2 shots went right over it, So the sights on the PT140 were pretty much right on target as the last 8 shots show.

Now my friend always shot a Rugger snub nose 357 revolver, and I guess he was trying to see what kind of recoil the pistol he was now shooting had.
I also told him about his grip, and in the below video. You'll see what happened when he did not listen to me, But after that. He finally started to hold the other pistols right

    Here's the ouch video.

Yes I do like my Taurus Pistols.

Nice video Taurus Shooter. I was wondering about the first guys grip, was guessing revolver shooter. You might look into changing your grip a little, shift your support hand forward a bit, have both thumbs forward.

I could not find the video I was looking for, but this one is close. I might disagree a little with the right wrist, but not a big deal.

Both videos show a thumb looking for a home... :)

This confused me, why would you buy a pistol you believe is so poorly constructed that it wouldn't stay on paper out of the box?
