It's a practice that's as old as Hunter Gatherer societies where sharing is an egalitarian safeguard against failure of any individual's daily foraging. In order to strengthen the collective, policies like welfare have been a must. Taking it beyond welfare with universal health-care will be another step forward.

The ultimate goal should be to give all goods and services away freely so everyone can benefit, therefore ultimately strengthening the collective. We can do away with barbaric practices such as trade, and ultimately individualism all together. More importantly we can do away with the impoverished all together, finally making everyone equal.

If someone hordes their own goods, that is their business. Who should have the right to deprive them of what is theirs?
You say "sharing". Sharing is a good thing, however, when a person is forced to "share", it is called stealing.
We are created as individuals. If the individual no longer matters, all else is doomed to fail. This was evident under Chairman Mao when 60M+ people died for the sake of the collective.
