I did a lot by hand sanding, using different size wooden dowels to undercut the trigger and ruff shape the frame.used a bench mounted belt sander to start with.then just used a soldering iron to stipple the hell outa it
Stippling. That's what it's called. I saw another thread on this weeks ago. Looks time consuming but I bet that would wake up my 1st gen 22. The grip was already starting to smooth out when I got it from Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Thanks for sharing brother
Looks good man. How much time have you invested?
I spent about 4 hours doing mine. I'm a little OCD when it comes to this kinda job. Definitely helps with the feel and grip. I had to get rid of the factory finger grooves.
I'm rite around that maybe 4-6 hours.ruff shapin it didn't take to long.its all them tiny holes that take up time.im pretty OCD about it to.wanted it for function first n looks second.but all in all turned out pretty nice.
