Ok, I primarily shoot 9mm. I do however like 45 and get one on occasion. Is it worth it to buy a 45 to suppress both or is the 9mm can that much better for 9mm? Already got the SDN'6 for same reason and very happy with that can. I'm really only interested in AAC suppressors. Thanks.

If you shoot both get the .45 can. I did and your options are greatly increased. You can shoot .45, 10mm, .40, and 9mm with a 45 can. I have the Silencerco Osprey but the Tirant is a great can.

This. I also purchased the Osprey 45 and use it with .45, .40 and 9 mm. I know the tests say there is some very minor difference in performance, but I can't tell.

After doing a lot of reading I agree with both. 1-2 db different for a lot more versatility in the can. And I plan to buy a HK .45CT soon so made choice much easier. My guy has one coming in with my name on it this morning. Hopefully start the waiting game later next couple weeks.

I thought about the same issue and went with the 9mm. Dropping over 1k, had to have the best available performance.

However I did the same thinking with rifle calibers and got the 30 cal instead of 5.56. Go figure.

You can always grab a .45 can later on. But if you shoot .45 all the time now then it's worth getting a .45 can.
