"This was filmed between 4th and 11th April 2011. Visiting El Teide. Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories." http://vimeo.com/22439234

It's also pretty remote, being in the Canary Islands, and an active volcano.

The Bad Astronomer has one from Western Australia here http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/badastronomy/2011/04/22/australian-outback-time-lapse/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+BadAstronomyBlog+%28Bad+Astronomy%29

The aurora borealis one is friggin incredible. I've only seen them once and they were just like heat lightning.

I subscribe to the Bad Astronomer and get daily mailings which have these links, which are really fascinating.

When I was around 10yo, you could see the Milky Way from where we lived in Shreveport. I can remember my Dad telling me how long it took for the light to get from the stars to us, and how we were a part of the Milky Way, etc, and feeling very small and insignificant. I still feel that way, but it keeps me in place.
