i dont own a rifle or shot gun. I feel i could use one but every time i think ill start the ol research process to figure out what i want, i just start looking up more handguns. I've looked at an arsenal sgl-21. Im fairly budget oriented for now and every time i loosen up some cash i end up with handgun stuff or a new handgun.

anyone else have a similar problem?

i jsut want more s&w revolvers for now. holster for my current revolver, some mag pouches. gotta collect em all?

No, I have over 20 handguns. I've found over the years that while I own & like rifles & shotguns, I like handguns even more & am always adding "one or two more."

I am just the opposite with long guns... I was on a WWII kick when I started so I have 6 from various countries from the 30s and 40s. Then I got on a Russian kick and have another 4 or 5 different ones. My 2 ARs, 2 Ruger 10/22s just cuz they are fun. I have my great grandfather's SxS from around 1890 so you gotta have a a couple pumps and semi autos to go along with it.

I want a HK 45c as my new handgun.

    1. Identify need for gun (home defense, carry, hunting, SHTF, etc)
    2. Buy gun to fit need

If you can't identify a need, spend the money on ammo or training.

You don't even have all the guns you NEED yet.

Personally I left NEED in the dirt many years ago. I am well into handguns that I WANT. That's OK. B/C getting what you NEED is what makes socialism fail. Being able to get what you WANT is what makes capitalism work. :)

I went on a handgun kick when I hit 21. I think I had enough cash to buy one every month for a few months. Of course i was single and my rent was alot cheaper than it is now.

About as smart as its going to get IMO

NO need to be "mixing" things for the purpose of collection IMO, I rather have 1 and know how to use it regardless of the situation or time of the day than have 50 and only use them at a squared box range once a year for "fun".

All of mines are working guns, no more time for pretty stuff in the safe

I have never counted them, but I did recently(about a year ago) go through them all and check and record serial numbers, but I have a lil bit of everything as far as I know. When my wife asks how many I have I always say not enough. Both my family and my in-laws are in law enforcement so we are always swapping and trading.

I enjoy shooting to much to settle only with 1 or two. So many guns have such different character I can't help but want them all.
