Just got this knife in a trade, it's an older Effingham Blackjack Classic knife with a 7 inch blade. It's pretty much mint in the box and still shaving sharp. Just thought I would share, this was made in Effingham Illinois around 1994 before the company went bankrupt. The guy who made them is actually the same guy who makes the Bark River Knives of today. It's either a 1095 or 52-100 steel (not sure exactly which one) with a stacked leather handle and is very well made. Pretty sweet knife I thought...

I have always loved Randall knives. I carried a 1-7 in Nam but it was stolen. In '94 I bought an Effingham Blackjack 1-7 with stag handle. It too was stolen so I gave up on them and made one for myself
