A friend gave me a plastic tool box for my truck but he doesn't have the key for the lock. I can't tell what brand box it is but I think it's a Titan. The button where you put the key in says 117 I guess that's the key code or something.

Does anybody know where I can get some keys

    Thanks

I had a friend give me a contico plastic truck box around 12 years ago but there were no keys for it. I called them and explained everything and they sent me new locks and keys for free. Its worth a shot.

Try XD's advice first, if that doen't pan out, most truck top distributers have a stock of keys. I've used both of these before. If you strike out on the first two, a good locksmith should be able to make a key.

and now for the voice of experience...... most of the tool box type locks are inexpensive and fairly easy to open without having the correct key. Just find a key that will fit in the lock. The best kind has a prominent tip that sticks up higher than the adjacent points. Assuming that the key slot is perpendicular, insert the key then jiggle it rapidly up and down while slowly pulling the key out of the slot while keeping a turning pressure on the key. Effectively you are picking the lock. Seems to work quite often when I have locks (without keys) on desks, file cabinets, tool boxes, etc, to open.

Admittedly this is pretty well for the occasional opening. I'd also agree with changing out the lock. Alternately, a locksmith would probably charge $30-50 to make a key for you.

I'm sorry, I forgot to give you the key...
Here's a pic of it, though:
