I run a Tekonsha Prodigy, my dad has a valley. Both do the job, but I like my prodigy much better.

Tekonsha is the only controller you want to get if you want something that will stop your trailer smoothly every time you hit the brakes. All others do not compare.

The Hayes usually suffers from the jackhammer of death, where the trailer has a little slop on the hitch and causes the controller to spike low-high-low-high while you're trying to stop. (most controllers will suffer from this, even Tekonsha will if it's set too sensitive)

I have a Tekonsha Commander sitting in the garage. I bought in the mid 90's and I don't need anymore. Got everything that came with it, $30 takes it.

Can you get me more info on it? I can't find any online. Is it time delay or proportional ? Pictures are worth a thousand words
