I was in Bass Pro in Bossier City tonight and the ammo isle looked like I showedd up a week after the going out of business sale... Basically nothing there what so ever in any caliber.

Is anyone else finding similar situations elsewhere around the state?

Dont lie, they had ammo. They had plenty of shotgun and large rifle ammo excluding .308. They also had plenty of remington golden sabers in .40/.45....same way at Academy.

I was there today. It was packed at 1400 and everyone was either in ammo or at the firearms desk. The usual AR section had nothing. Pistols were spread out, maybe 20 total. Its not very usual that I walk out with no bag in hand.

Well technically you are correct sir. But as far as the ammo most were looking for... Zero, zilch.

Last time I went to WalMart the only thing on the shelf was 40S&W, shotgun shells, and lesser used rifle calibers.

    NO 308, 22LR, 22WMR, 223, 7.62x39, 9MM, or 45ACP.

By some miraculous chance I showed up when there was still 5 boxes of WWB 9MM (100 round packs). Bought all of it.

DeRidder Walmart looked normal, they have never had anything worth a ****. The store manager must really be anti-gun.

I checked Walmart on Mansfield Rd. in Shreveport today... The guy there said the most dangerous ammo in my case is buck shot. Not much else other than empty shelves .
