Trouble with my 12Ga Winchester, any advice?

I recently bought a used Winchester 1300. Here's a link to the gun that I have (28" barrel) I'm having a problem with the magazine follower. When I begin to chamber the last round from the magazine, the magazine follower gets stuck. I think that the magazine follower is coming out further than it should, which then catches on the spring loaded ramp when trying to chamber the last round. Does anyone know of a fix for this or had a similar problem?

Here is a link to the owners manual for that gun. Exploded parts diagram is in it. If the magazine follower is extending too far from the magazine tube, the most likely issues could be.
A damaged follower...the wrong follower... or a damaged magazine tube.
