    Perfect place to start cutting.....

“It has come to my attention … that in our budget in the area of marksmanship training for our personnel, both active and Guard, that the funding is being reduced by about 60 percent,” Rep Marcy Kaptur, D-Ohio, who represents the Ohio Army National Guard’s Camp Perry Joint Training Center, told senior Army officials.

I hate that EST with a passion. Have you ever seen one that didn't experience problems seemingly every single time you used it?

Meanwhile, the DHS gets all the ammo it wants and more! BATFE gets 250 million added to their 1 billion budget so that they can waste it. Civilian maggots who work for the Feds get to waste all the money and our military has to suffer for it.
The value of live-fire training is priceless. The cost of these exercises is much cheaper then that of a real war. Combat Arms is only about 20% of our forces. They deserve EVERYTHING they need to survive and win. Individual practice and annual qualification are not enough for ANY troops in the Combat Arms field.

This is part of a cycle that starts anytime an extended period of conflict ends. We save treasure now but as soon as the next conflict starts we spend exponentially more, both treasure and blood, getting the force ready to fight.
