This is an unusual ( but not rare) Ruger mini 14. It's a salesmans sample that was primarily used to display a new scope. Very low round count ( less than 300). It's a combo ranch type rifle with a barrel more simlar to the G.B., rifles of it's
type were used as both the trunk gun for for a neighboring states Highway Patrol and the tower sniper for their Department of Corrections. The State was moving to purpose built weapons for each application and the guns this one represents only saw service for a few years and never received a special designation. Serial begins with 188.
750.00 cash value, 850.00 trade value with some trades + cash possibly considered. Kentwood to Hammond area.
