    Well it's been a year I guess since I've been back in that store and decided to go back to take a peak. Also to see if they had a used shell follower.

    What I saw;

    Federal Target Loads(Walmart Brand) for $9.99
    Winchester(White Box) .45 Auto 230 gr 50 rnd for $34.95

    Barrett .50 Rifle with scope - $13k (I know jack about Barrett's so this could be normal)
    Knowing them, It's probably a 6k model? lol

    But remember, they are there to serve the Troops. (ACTIVE)Troops/NRA/LEO get a 10% discount.

    I started having a panic attack after seeing 3 items
    and felt the urge to go beserk so I had to rush out.

    Sorry :p

    Well since they are there for the troops; maybe the troops could repay their benevolence with an accidental misguided mortar round in the middle of night drills. :chuckles:

    Last time I was in there was a couple months ago. 20 rounds of Federal 5.56 was $29.99. Surplus 7.62x54R was $9.99/20, and the 45 was what you posted. M&P pistols were $650? Basic DPMS was $1300. Their transfer fees are outrageous.

    Yea and even Academy(Who I think is high on some ammo) doesn't touch their prices.

    Dave's Gun shop in Lafayette charges $100 for FFL transfers. This still applies to LOYAL customers who want something that Dave's can't get from any of their distributers but is currently listed elsewhere.

    Daves... i lack the necessary vocabulary to state just how inept and poor that place is, and Shooters is just high off their asses. I have a local FFL that charges me $20.00 per. I politely tell them that I refuse to pay more than 25 for them to sign a piece of paper.

    Ultimately, these prices are there because people are paying them. STOP IT. If you're buying from these clowns, you're enabling and promoting it.

    BTW last time I was there they had a hand written sign saying transfers were $35 or 45(?) PLUS TAX on the value of the gun. Tax in Leesville is what...9%? So a $1500 rifle would cost you $170+ to transfer.

    Damn! You military guys must make too much money!

    The whole charging tax thing on the value of the gun is the biggest scam. Some places will charge tax on the transfer (even though it's a service) but charging tax on the gun they are really dreaming.
