Great news for our USPSA and Steel Challenge shooters.
Palo Alto has started doing dirt work to raise ALL the pistol bays.

    As of Thursday 9-22.
Bay 1 has been raised a little over a foot and is sloped towards the road, the dip between the bays and the road are gone. The plan is to have the bays and the road sloped away from the shooting area. Bay 2, the dozer is spreading the dirt.
The slop they are adding to the bays and road should act as a dam to keep from holding water between the road and bays. So we don’t have the standing water in the bays being held in by the road.

As of this past Sunday 9-25-22
Bay 1 - 4 = Are done for the most part. Will need some touchups and feathering to blend the bay with the road.

Bay 5 = Works has started and they have about 6 load of dirt dumped and spread. Will need a lot more.

Bay 5, 6 & 7 = Will take the most dirt as these 3 bays are the lowest and also the largest.

Didn’t get pics of bay 6 & 7 since dirt hasn’t been dumped in these bay as of Sunday.

In total we are looking at close to 50, 15yd truck of dirt being added to raise all the bays in upwards of 2ft in some spots.
Will try to make it out to Palo this weekend to get updated pics of the dirt work for everyone.

You can see the pic on Palo Alto Facebook page.
